Audit Associate - Analyst (m/f)

Opportunity to work as an auditor remotely.

Job decription:

a) Substantive audit procedures:

• Testing financial statement line items to ensure reports are true and fair.
• Performing substantive audit testing by way of tests of details on selected sample and analytical tests.
• Perform diverse audit tasks, including data analysis of financial data and accounting records, recalculation of balances (for example: payroll, sales, rent, etc.) and making conclusions.
• Communication with clients to obtain audit evidence.
• Conclude on work performed in working papers.

b) Understanding business processes:

• Analysis of clients’ business processes (sales, purchase, production, personnel
  management, investments, treasury).
• Ability to interview the client about the flow of transactions in certain business processes.
• Identification of internal controls in business processes.
• Matching identified internal controls to identified risks.

c) Analysis of financial statements:

• Reconciling trial balance to financial statements.
• Cross-checking note lines to FS lines.
• Verify the mathematical accuracy of the figures in the financial statement.

Knowledge and skills:

• Fluent in English
• Advanced MS Office knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word, …)
• Able to work in a team and be proactive.
• Basic knowledge of IFRS and ISAs.
• Accounting knowledge and experience is an advantage.
• Understanding audit methodology is a plus (materiality, threshold, sample size, test of controls, control reliance, …). Training will be provided.

Qualifications:

• University education in accounting / finance / business.

Starting salary is minimal 2500 KM.
