We are looking for a highly motivated IT Financial Manager/Controller with German proficiency to become part of our finance team and contribute to the company’s continued growth and success.

POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Financial Manager plays a critical role in ensuring financial transparency, budget control, and strategic cost management across multiple multinational legal entities and IT departments. As a key advisor to IT leadership, you will bridge the gap between Finance and IT, delivering insights and support for data-driven decision-making. This role encompasses IT finance operations, project controlling, budget planning, financial reporting, intercompany cost management, and IT financial data ownership.

📝 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• IT Department Controlling & Business Partnering:
• Monitor IT budgets, validate accruals, and serve as the key financial contact for IT leadership to support cost control and strategic decision-making.
• Project & Demand Financial Support:
• Provide financial validation in project demand processes, support PMO and project managers, and ensure cost transparency throughout project lifecycles.
• Annual Budget Planning & Forecasting:
• Lead the global IT budget cycle and coordinate quarterly forecasts by consolidating financial input across all IT units.
• Financial Reporting & Audit Preparation:
• Deliver regular and ad-hoc financial reports to IT and Finance leadership; support internal and external audits with documentation and analysis.
• SAP & Procurement Governance:
• Maintain WBS structures for IT projects within SAP and manage procurement requests (BANF process) to ensure compliance and proper authorization.
• Intercompany Cost & Contract Management:
• Oversee IT service agreements, labor recharges, and ensure compliance in intercompany billing.
• Governance & Process Transformation:
• Drive compliance with international regulations and lead initiatives to improve internal controls, audit readiness, and financial workflow design.
• Cross-functional Alignment & Change Leadership:
• Act as a liaison between Finance, IT, Controlling, and Operations, championing standardization, automation, and sustainable process improvements.

💡 QUALIFICATIONS

• BA or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Corporate Finance, or a related field; CPA/CMA or advanced degree is a plus
• 5–8 years of experience in IT financial management, financial controlling, and corporate finance—preferably within an international matrix environment
• Deep understanding of IT cost structures, licensing models, vendor management, and Technology Business Management (TBM)
• Strong knowledge of HGB (German Commercial Code), IFRS, and cross-border compliance frameworks
• Proven expertise in SAP (especially project and cost center accounting); experience with Apptio or similar tools is a plus
• Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and accruals management
• Strong analytical mindset and reporting skills; capable of presenting complex financial data clearly
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Experience in process optimization and change leadership within finance functions
• Fluent in English; German proficiency is strongly preferred
