Procurement Coordinator (m/f)

We are looking for a Procurement Coordinator to join our Operations team. 

You do not need years of procurement experience. You need to be organised, comfortable with numbers, and the kind of person who notices when something does not add up. We will train you on the rest.

GAZZDA is a furniture design house based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, selling to dealers and architects mostly across Europe, but also worldwide.

Where you will work

Our production site at Azapovići 426, Kobiljača.

This is not a desk-only job. You will spend part of your week in the warehouse and in production, checking what arrived, what is missing, and whether the paperwork matches the pallet. You will also visit suppliers.

What you will do

Your role is to coordinate our purchasing so we always have the most efficient and economic buying price, combined with a logical and efficient logistics path to us. Those two are judged together, not separately.

Buying for production

• Check inventory levels against the production plan every week and order what is missing: raw materials, semi-finished goods and finished goods
• Place factory orders and follow them until the goods arrive, taking into account customer orders, forecasts, minimum order quantities and what makes sense logistically
• Track sourced goods and flag delays early
• Work with the development team from the moment a new product starts, so the bill of materials can be calculated before production rather than after

Keeping the numbers honest

• Check incoming invoices against our internal shipments. Quantity and unit price should match. When they do not, find out why
• Code invoices and delivery notes, and flag new materials so a new code gets opened
• Report any change in a product's bill of materials in time, so our records stay correct
• Reconcile supplier accounts monthly

Buying for the company

• Handle purchasing outside production too: office and IT, software, services, production tools and logistics
• Search for new suppliers, locally and worldwide, and bring us options we did not know we had
• Collect and compare offers, then explain clearly why one is better than the other
• Keep supplier terms, prices and contacts in order so anyone can find them
• Review suppliers regularly

Order and method

We care about how work is organised, not only that it gets done.

5S principles guide how we want our operations organised, and purchasing is part of that. Supplier files, prices, codes and documents should be findable by anyone in the team without asking you where they are.

If a tidy workspace and a clear system are things you want rather than things you tolerate, you will fit here.

What we are looking for

• A degree or coursework in economics, business, supply chain, engineering or something adjacent. Or a convincing story about why you can do this without one
• Comfortable with spreadsheets and numbers. You will live in them
• Good written and spoken English. Our suppliers and customers are mostly in Europe, but also worldwide
• Attention to detail. Here, a wrong digit becomes a wrong container
• A genuine need for order. You keep things tidy, labelled and systematic because leaving them otherwise bothers you
• The confidence to ask when something is unclear, and the discipline to follow through when it is clear
• Own transport or a workable way to reach Kobiljača

Nice to have, not required: experience with an ERP system, a second language, exposure to manufacturing or wood, familiarity with 5S or similar methods.
