CAD Designer (m/f)

We are looking for talented CAD Designers – Junior and Senior Levels – to join exciting automotive projects!

Location: Bosnia and Herzegovina (office in Sarajevo)
Work Type: Hybrid, Full-Time long term cooperation
Start Date: Beginning of 2026

Responsibilities (All Levels):

• Design and develop exterior and body‐in‐white components such as bumpers,
  spoilers, mirror housings, claddings, aluminium profiles, NVH‐parts (foams,
  wheel‐arches, heat‐shields), and deep‐drawn components.
• Create and refine 3D CAD models using CATIA V5 or Siemens NX, ensuring
  manufacturability and compliance with OEM standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, styling, simulation, and manufacturing teams in
  Germany to ensure seamless integration of design and function.
• Participate in feasibility studies, tolerance analyses, and packaging
  investigations.
• Maintain design data and support engineering change management.

Additional Responsibilities – Senior Level:

• Lead design reviews and coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct detailed feasibility studies, tolerance analyses, and packaging
  investigations independently.
• Apply knowledge of lightweight materials (C‐SMC, aluminium, foams, etc.) and related manufacturing processes (injection moulding, stamping, bonding).
• Support topology optimisation and cost/weight reduction initiatives.
• Document and manage design iterations and engineering changes.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to team development.

Additional Responsibilities – Junior Level:

• Support with documentation and weight analyses.
• Assist senior team members in packaging and feasibility investigations.
• Gain experience in design for tooling and manufacturability under supervision.

Requirements:
Junior Level:

• 2–5 years of experience in CAD design or automotive development.
• Good proficiency in CATIA V5 or Siemens NX and strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
• Willingness to travel and temporarily reside in Germany for training or project
  coordination.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills with an independent, structured
  working style.

Senior Level:

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in exterior component development within the automotive industry.
• Expert‐level proficiency in CATIA V5, Siemens NX, and PLM systems
  (P‐DMU, X‐PECT, Engineering‐Client, Matrix, KVS).
• Strong understanding of Class A surfaces, DFMA principles, and design for
  tooling.
• Proven experience in leading design projects and mentoring team members.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross‐functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
• Willingness to travel and temporarily reside in Germany for training or project coordination.
