• Sourcing trucks to the assigned loads. You will have your own group of 4-6 drivers to dispatch.
• Multi tasking in a fast paced environment , time management skills are necessary. Various communication skills are in use to perform at the level of competence required to include Email, Phone conversations, and system messages to drivers.
• Observing all loads within assigned region to ensure timely transit. Follow up on delays, late departures and late arrivals
• Work to balance daily and weekly outbound loads to inbound trucks in assigned areas.
• Responsible for efficiently assigning loads to minimize driver dwell, deadhead and maximize truck and trailer utilization.
• Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Coordinate with drivers and your team
• Problem solve driver and/or carrier issues
• Adhere to all FMCSA DOT safety regulations
• Strong computer skills, data entry is part of the job
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast paced environment
• Must be able to communicate clearly with both drivers and customers in a busy working environment
