Position Overview
The Tax Processing SaaS Specialist is responsible for managing payroll tax processing and compliance functions using UKG and MasterTax software systems.
This role combines:
- Software-based payroll tax processing
- Scheduling and submitting federal and state tax payments
- Preparing quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
- Reviewing and resolving tax notices
- Coordinating with internal accounting and external tax authorities
- Supporting new client tax account setup
The ideal candidate is intelligent, resourceful, highly detail-oriented, and solution-driven. This role requires strong analytical thinking, excellent English communication skills, and a commitment to meeting strict compliance deadlines.
Paid training will be provided for a minimum of three (3) months.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Tax Processing & Payment Execution
- Pull payroll files from UKG at the end of each payroll cycle.
- Upload and process payroll data within MasterTax.
- Determine federal and state payroll tax liabilities.
- Schedule and process tax payments electronically to U.S. tax authorities.
- Monitor and ensure timely remittance of all required payroll tax deposits.
- Maintain accurate records of tax payments and confirmations.
Tax Filings & Compliance
- Generate quarterly and annual payroll tax returns directly from MasterTax.
- Assist business clients with processing quarterly tax filings.
- Review filings carefully for completeness and accuracy before submission.
- Maintain organized records of tax filings and payment history.
- Ensure compliance with federal and multi-state payroll tax requirements.
Tax Notice Management & Agency Communication
- Review tax notices received from federal and state agencies.
- Coordinate with the accounting team to analyze and respond to tax notices.
- Communicate with U.S. tax authorities by phone and written correspondence when required.
- Track resolution of tax-related issues until fully completed.
Client Setup & Onboarding Support
- Assist in establishing new client tax accounts at the federal and state levels.
- Complete and submit required tax registration forms.
- Support onboarding teams by ensuring tax-related compliance steps are properly completed.
- Maintain documentation of all tax account registrations and agency confirmations.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in the financial, accounting, payroll, or IT sector.
- Strong experience working with software systems in a professional environment.
- Excellent English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) suitable for U.S. business and government communication.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage recurring compliance deadlines.
- Professionalism, accountability, and commitment to high performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with payroll tax processing or tax-related software systems.
- Experience working in SaaS platforms or financial systems.
- Background in business administration, finance, IT, or a related field.
- Experience communicating with U.S.-based clients or government agencies.
