RUBICON is a software development company from Sarajevo. We are a young and talented team that enjoys challenges and luckily we're constantly looking for motivated people interested in software development to join us. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we’ve allowed our team members to work from the comfort of their homes to protect their health and safety. As a team that values strong communication, leadership and respect, we’ve had a smooth transition from working in our Sarajevo office to fully prioritizing a remote-first approach.

About the Fullstack Engineer Position

We are seeking a talented and motivated Fullstack Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both backend and frontend development, with experience in a variety of technologies. 

We expect you to be a hard-working, tech-savvy professional who is curious about innovative technologies, cloud development and a solid understanding of software engineering principles and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices

• Develop and manage well-functioning applications and infrastructures in cloud environments

• Design and implement responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks 

• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack

• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Requirements

• Development experience with Node.js, Python or .NET technology stacks 

• Understanding of REST API

• Solid knowledge of cloud architecture and infrastructure

• Understanding the basics of database management

• A knack for writing clean, readable, and easily maintainable code

• Have an understanding of, or experience with, Agile methodologies

• Excellent spoken and written English skills

• Able to work independently and as a part of an agile team

Nice to know/have experience with

• Architectural software patterns

• Experience with writing modern software deployed in the cloud

• Angular or React

• Azure Cloud Stack

• Writing unit and e2e tests

• Good understanding of browser rendering behavior and performance

• Familiarity with the JavaScript ecosystem
