Java Developer (m/f)

We are looking for a Java Developer to help our UAE client to expand their success story in finance industry. We will set up a new team of min 10 people with Java, Angular, Android, iOS, and QA skillsets in Sarajevo (or remote) who will work with Backbase technology.

Project will be based on Backbase platform, so any experience is an advantage but not a must. 

Responsibilities

• Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle

• Design, implement and maintain Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency

• Analyze user requirements to define business objectives

• Envisioning system features and functionality

• Define application objectives and functionality

• Ensure application designs conform to business goals

• Develop and test software

• Identify and resolve any technical issues arising

• Propose changes to the current Java infrastructure

• Develop technical designs for application development

• Conducting software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging

• Manage Java and Java EE application development

Skills And Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java, with a good understanding of its ecosystems

• Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Patterns and Concepts

• Familiarity with different design and architectural patterns

• Skill for writing reusable Java libraries 

• Knowhow of Java concurrency patterns

• Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Classloading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc)

• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)

• Experience in the Spring Framework is plus

• Experience as a Sun Certified Java Developer

• Experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC)
