We are looking for a Senior Transition Project Manager who will work for our UAE client remotely or from the office in Sarajevo. The client operates with a shared service center in Dubai, and for this project, activities are connected with the food industry. The idea is to centralize all processes in Dubai.

Role Summary:

This position is responsible & accountable for ensuring that GBS projects are managed according to defined Governance and Projects Portfolio Management Processes.

Supporting the end to end process transformation, operating model transformation, engagement transformation and enabling technology transformation. Point of Contact for Transformation Programs, project level decisions and governance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work closely with the relevant Functions and Business partners to ensure strategic alignment of GBS projects across the group and businesses ensuring portfolio optimization
  • Work with functional business sponsors across HR, finance, sales, supply chain, procurement. business managers, program and project managers to understand the resource needs of each project/program (i.e.: skills, expertise, timing)
  • Facilitate governance process to manage the business case lifecycle (development, approval, monitoring, delivery and post implementation review)
  • Balance needs of ongoing processes with the demand of incoming programs/projects based on changing business/functional needs considering resource capacity constraints, risk exposure, and interdependencies.
  • Support strategic decision by providing full visibility on any constraints that may affect portfolio planning and execution through regular reporting on the status of the business case and associated projects or programs.
  • Recommend process improvements and design robust to-be processes based on your understanding of Finance Best Practices.
  • Project manage GBS transition implementation for our multi-functional workstreams.

Competencies Required

Knowledge

  • Can define and implement projects portfolio management, covering processes, technology, organization, shared services and data
  • Can define Project Planning & Governance
  • Has a strong Project Management experience
  • Can navigate and align challenging stakeholders
  • Effectively communicates and connects across organizational boundaries
  • Can develop, monitor and report on implementation roadmap
  • Can facilitate fit gap workshops
  • Effectively Manage transition process (knowledge transfer process, training, documentation)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and appetite to leverage more progressive digital tools for work process and teaming.
  • Experience managing teams and stakeholders, and an orientation towards achieving results.
  • Virtual work with international team members, some travel to support team or other work efforts

Skills

  • Working in a complex global environment at pace, managing multiple deliverables with multiple inputs often with high impact, time sensitive requirements. Leading and driving change in an often-ambiguous environment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - capture needs and convert those into programs. Organizationally savvy and able to navigate/influence complex matrix organizations
  • Communicating in a mature and thoughtful manner – demonstrating credibility and displaying “executive” presence.
  • Structuring and analyzing information - take an idea for organizing data and turn it into a useful deliverable. Strong attention to detail
  • Logically considering how complex projects get completed.
  • Managing and developing (virtual) teams effectively.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of applicable experience managing, supporting and running transformation programs in a global organization.
  • Experience working successfully within a complex matrix structured organization is essential. Global/International experience and track record of managing teams and projects across borders
  • Track record of successful change and project management to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness across global organizations. Managing the technical and cultural aspects of change
  • Past experience in transitioning/migrating activities to or from a GBS/SSC
