Finance Assistant (m/f)

The Finance Assistant is a member of the finance team responsible for the day-to-day updating financial records and managing invoices. To be successful as a finance assistant, you should have a strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, good organizational skills, and working knowledge of accounting software.

Responsibilities:

• In charge of ensuring that paperwork is accurate and kept up to date. Scans and archives any required documents. Monitors all financial documentation.
• Produces and oversees domestic and international outgoing invoices. Ensure incoming invoices are managed and posted. Manage return of products, along with financial permissions.
• Prepares compensations and assignments, manages and balances claims and accounts receivable. Take control on currencies. Records, monitors and controls contractual obligations.
• Prepares reports for internal users and regularly communicates both internally and externally with all stakeholders.
• Continuously monitoring and adhering to legal requirements in the area of its responsibilities.
• Reconciliation with suppliers, monitoring due date, ensuring cash flow for payment needs
• Managing claims and returns, checking if claim reason is valid, approving and issuing needed documentation.
• Inventory management, inventory count, reconciliation.
• Assisting in budgeting and monthly reporting
• All the other tasks upon the manager’s request.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Desirable experience in finance or accounting roles in retail.
• Experience with inventory management systems and financial software.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, willingness to learn and grow in position.
• MS Office
• Bosnian and English Proficiency
