In 2011, the International Montessori House opened its doors for the first time in Sarajevo. Our nursery school is located in the heart of Sarajevo, in the residential area of Mejtaš. Today, we serve more than 80 children aged 1 to 6 years. The school has earned a strong reputation within the community for its distinctive program tailored to young children.

Our facility stands out for its beautiful indoor and outdoor learning spaces. It features a well-equipped, park-like playground, air-conditioned classrooms, and adjoining gardens, all integrated into the comprehensive Montessori learning plan. Each classroom is specifically designed and scaled for young children, providing self-contained spaces with bathrooms and ample room for both individual and group activities.

The potential of a child is not solely intellectual; it becomes fully evident only when the complete “Montessori method” is understood and applied. A child’s choice, practical work, care for others and the environment, and, most importantly, the high levels of concentration achieved when their work is respected and uninterrupted, unveil a being who excels not only academically but also emotionally and spiritually. This is a child who cares deeply for others and the world, striving to discover a unique, personal way to contribute to society
